Terms of Service
1. Beta service
These Terms govern access to the Clarity Ledger UK paid beta, which is open for public signup. You must be at least 18 and authorised to act for each portfolio and accounting company you connect.
2. Account security
You are responsible for accurate registration details, protecting your password, authenticator, and recovery codes, and notifying no-reply@clarityledger.uk promptly of suspected compromise. One owner account controls each portfolio during the beta; team access is not supported.
3. Accounting connections and financial reports
You authorise accounting data access for the Xero, QuickBooks Online or FreeAgent companies you connect. Clarity Ledger reads financial data; it does not post or edit your accounting records. Provider availability is shown during setup. You must have the right to provide that data. Clarity Ledger standardises and consolidates source reports, but it is not an accounting, tax, investment, audit, or legal adviser. You must review mappings, warnings, reconciliations, and outputs before relying on them.
4. Subscription and trial
The selected monthly or annual plan is billed through Stripe. Each portfolio may receive one 21-day trial. Plan entity limits apply. Unless cancelled under the terms shown at checkout or in the billing portal, a paid subscription continues for its selected billing period.
The founding offer is Starter (up to 5 companies) at £49 monthly or £490 annually, Growth (up to 20) at £149 monthly or £1,490 annually, and Portfolio (up to 50) at £249 monthly or £2,490 annually. Portfolio requires availability confirmation before checkout. New subscriptions are subject to capacity; Scale and Enterprise are not available at launch. The selected founding rate is guaranteed for the first 12 months from subscription start, including any trial, while the subscription stays on the same plan and billing frequency. Annual billing covers 12 months. No price increase is scheduled automatically when the guarantee ends. We will give notice of any subsequent proposed price change before it takes effect. Cancellation stops future renewal under the terms shown in the billing portal.
5. Launch scope
This release supports account mapping, the portfolio dashboard, profit and loss, balance sheet, and trial balance from configured accounting integrations. Xero and QuickBooks Online support GBP, EUR and USD company base currencies; FreeAgent supports GBP UK limited companies. Native company reports and GBP management views are available. P&L uses monthly average rates; balance-sheet and trial-balance rows use closing rates, including equity. These GBP equivalents do not constitute statutory currency translation or consolidation. Review rate sources and any manual overrides. AI financial commentary, deal analysis, portfolio planning, public sharing, and team access are unavailable. We do not send customer data to an AI provider in this release.
6. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the service, bypass access controls, upload unlawful material, probe another customer’s data, or interfere with platform or provider operation. You must comply with applicable law and the connected accounting provider’s terms.
7. Availability and suspension
The beta may change and may experience interruptions, including outages of accounting providers or other service providers. We may suspend access to address security, non-payment, unlawful use, or material breach. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Termination and data
You may disconnect accounting companies and request account deletion through support. On termination we stop new processing and delete or retain data in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable legal obligations.
9. Changes and contact
We will present material changes for acceptance. Contact no-reply@clarityledger.uk with questions about these Terms.
